At Wawryer, we are committed to using business as a force for good. The world needs great logics plus shipping solutions and we want to do it in a way that helps our communities and limits our negative impact on our environment, so that future generations can enjoy a healthy planet. Our Impact Policy formalises our commitment to embed sustainability at the core of our organisation, our everyday operations and decision-making processes. Why? Climate change is a defining issue of our time. We believe that companies like ours must take an active lead in driving positive change. We acknowledge that there are emissions involved in our operations. However, we want to take bold actions and hold ourselves accountable for reducing and offsetting our environmental impacts. We will follow a sustainable and transparent path so that our customers, our employees and our partners can be proud of what we do, and how we do it - from a social, ethical and environmental perspective. Wawryer Impact Roadmap towards a greater Positive Impact The Wawryer Impact Roadmap is our plan to deliver, measure and report our progress. It focuses on 6 key areas: Climate Action Our aim is to become a net-zero company. To get there, we need to understand our current emissions, target how we can reduce those to a minimum, and plan for how to offset the residual emissions. We will measure Wawryer’s full carbon footprint (Scope 1, 2 & 3) to establish the baseline emissions from our operations. We will then set greenhouse gas emissions reductions targets in line with the Science Based Targets initiative, to limit warming to 1.5°C in order to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement. Our footprint will be measured annually and we will continue to innovate in order to reduce our emissions and offset those which are unavoidable. Impact Fund Wawryer donates 1% of our annual revenue to the Wawryer Impact Fund - to support environmental and humanitarian causes. Through our Impact Fund, we choose our partnerships in line with Wawryer’s values. Zero Waste Our overarching aim is to minimise waste. We will do this by reducing material and plastic usage in primary packaging, while increasing recycled content & recyclability. Our goal is to get to 100% recyclable packaging. Our office has a zero waste to landfill policy. We will work towards implementing this practice across the rest of our direct operations. We will conduct a Life Cycle Assessment to evaluate the full impact of our services. Social & Ethical Responsibility We support the ten principles of the UN Global Compact with respect to human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. Using a Supplier Code of Conduct, we will implement these principles throughout our business whilst pursuing greater transparency and accountability in our value chain. We will work with third party auditors and our supply chain partners to ensure that safe, fair & healthy working conditions are upheld throughout our supply chain. Every year we will publish our Modern Slavery Statement, outlining the steps we have taken to ensure social and ethical standards are met. Transparency & Reporting We will publish an Annual Impact Report, outlining our actions and impacts. We will provide you with transparency, and we will be accountable. We will share updates of our Impact journey through our website & media channels. We hope to inspire the Wawryer community and other companies to follow a similar path. Team & Partner Engagement Our Wawryer team and partners are vital to delivering on our Impact Policy goals. We will embed Impact Best Practices to guide our team’s everyday work and decision-making. We will strive towards continuous improvement with our partners. We will collaborate and inspire wider change in our industry and beyond. Improving transparency and creating dialogue throughout our supply chain can create positive change. True sustainability is an ongoing project, with constant research and a commitment to continuous improvement as new technologies evolve. We know that we will face challenges on our Impact journey and that we won’t always get it right. We are committed to learning, collaborating and adapting as we strive to make the most positive impact, and to continue to use our business as a force for good. Dated: 01/08/2021
